Sophie Engel earned her bachelor’s in nursing from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing in 2016. She practiced as a pediatric nurse at The University of Maryland Medical Center for 8 years in the pediatric inpatient unit and pediatric outpatient clinics. She then received her Masters in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University becoming a board certified nurse practitioner in 2023.

Sophie enjoys all aspects of pediatric care but has special interests in providing holistic and family centered care, infant care and breastfeeding support to parents, inclusivity and affirming care to all families in our community.

Sophie lives in Baltimore City. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, taking walks in her neighborhood with her dog, and DIY home improvement projects.
